My name is Sheila Grangeiro and I currently work at the University of Miami with Workforce Engagement and Development. Our office offers several live and online trainings to all faculty and staff along with many other professional development opportunities. In my position as Media Specialist and now Communications Technician, I work very closely with our staff implementing processes for our online management system, teach faculty and staff on how to create online learning lessons using a variety of software, I also develope and manage our social media plan for our department and create and manage our website along with many other things. I have worked in this department for about 9 years and have seen how distance education has become such an integral part of learning. I look forward to completing my degree in Instructional Technology and Distance Education and putting together a great e-Portfolio.
